The school has an interesting history and came into being as a result of earnest efforts of Late Sh. Narayan Dass Ji, Sanghthan Mantri Vidya Bharti Uttar Keshtra comprising of states Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, H.P and J&K since long, desired to have a residential school in the SHIVALIK HILLS. He persued the Ministry of Defence in 1984, for the permission of a school at DAGSHAI CANTT. as there was a building owned by Hindu Shiksha Samiti, Kurukshetra lying vacant, but the permission was not granted by the concerned authorities, and therefore, the idea was postponed.

The Sarvhitkari Shiksha Niketan Kumarhatti (SSN) Public School though having a definite mission and not having been started with a view to make any income, profit or gain came into being in just a routine manner. Now an effort has been made to detail its history ,aims, rules & regulations and the other related information to make the students and concerned people aware about the same and hence this website has been developed.
